Last weekend a gathering occurred. Friday morning I made the trek to Peoria, Illinois with Shane Conn, Cody Reffner and Hawke Trackler for a session Codee Jennings organized. After a few too many cups of coffee and over 600 miles, my Honda Element pulled onto Codee’s street, and we were greeted by a group of bladers and friends. The weekend could not have been better. Immediately upon our arrival we took to the streets until 11 p.m., where everyone killed it. After a night of drinking, screen printing and chilling we were back at it. Saturday was spent exploring Downtown Peoria and skating mostly new terrain. The vibe of the session was relaxed as usual, but everyone was getting busy on their blades. Before I knew it, 8 p.m. had showed it’s face, and it was time to make the nine hour drive back to Pittsburgh. We all said our farewells carrying the energy from an amazing weekend with us. I must thank Codee Jennings and his family for their great hospitality (especially for the bacon in the morning), and everyone who came out to shred. Don’t miss Hawke’s edit of the weekend and check out the photos below also. Hopefully this update will entice you to make it out for the next Escape to Peoria.
